The upcoming Youth European Championships are taking place in Malmö, Sweden this year. Once again, several medal contenders belong to the TIBHAR Team.
The team competitions have already been successful for TIBHAR players and federations: in the U15 boys’ competition, the team from Romania made it to the final. Unfortunately, the Romanian Federation was not successful and lost in a high-class match 1-3 against the new European champions from Italy, featuring the new TIBHAR talent Danilo Faso.
In the U15 girls’ category, two teams with close ties to TIBHAR faced each other in the final. The German team, featuring the TIBHAR junior talents Josephine Neumann and Lisa Wang, won relatively clearly 3-1 against the TIBHAR association from Poland.
In the U19 team competitions, where Romania is traditionally considered the favorite, the Romanian boys once again stood at the top of the podium. Andrei Istrate’s contribution in the finals was decisive against the German national team, which had previously won 3-2 against Slovakia with Samuel Arpas in the semifinals.
In the U19 girls’ competition, Poland made reached the semifinals and was defeated by the future Champions from France. France won the finals in a high-class duel against Romania. Bianca Mei Rosu of Romania realized a spectacular match, winning both of her singles in the final, but was unable to prevent the defeat.
