Annett Kaufmann impresses all along the line. The Böblinger has already made a name for herself with great performances in the past, such as at the Youth European Championships in Varazdin, where she won three gold and one bronze. This gave her the chance to take part in the seniors at the European Championships in Cluj and to experience winning the gold medal. At the U21 European Championships in Spa, Annett Kaufmann once again showed that her successes are not limited to her age group: Kaufmann won the final of the individual competition in six sets against the Russian Mariia Tailakova, who was five years older than her and thus became the youngest U21 European champion in tournament history.
