TRIPLE GOLD FOR TIBHAR STARS IN KRAKOW

This year’s European Games in Krakow (Poland) were all about TIBHAR: With a bronze medal in mixed doubles alongside her long-time mixed partner Ovidiu Ionescu, as well as the gold medal in singles and team competition, Bernadette Szöcs was the most successful table tennis player of the competition. It’s particularly noteworthy that ‘Bernie’ didn’t lose a single match throughout the entire tournament – even though she was lead 0:2 in the final of the team competition against her adversary of always Han Ying, whom she had never been able to beat before. Thanks to this point, the Romanian team was able to secure a decisive advantage and win the final against Germany with a score of 3:2! Congratulations to our long-time partner Romania, as well as the two TIBHAR players Bernadette Szöcs and Andreea Dragoman

Another gold medal for the TIBHAR team was won by the only 16-year-old Felix Lebrun, who, like Bernadette Szöcs, remained undefeated in both singles and team competition. The young Frenchman, who has been making headlines in recent weeks and months, showed his best form in Poland and defeated a series of top European players before he could crown himself the king of Europe in an exciting final against the Portuguese Marcos Freitas. His great performance was rounded off with a bronze medal in the team competition, which he was able to enjoy with his brother Alexis, who was also part of the French team. Furthermore, Alexis was also able to secure a bronze medal in singles.

Congratulations to the Lebrun brothers, who brilliantly performed at this competition.

In addition to these sporting highlights, TIBHAR was also able to shine in the material area, as they supplied tables, balls and the floor of this great multi-sports event!
