In 1985, Georg Böhm, multiple German Champion, was the first international top player to sign a sponsorship contract with TIBHAR. Ayous blades encounter a huge success. Since TIBHAR could not rely on their Romanian blade factory, they decided to collaborate with the Yugoslavian national coach Mirko Janskovec in Slovenia. The cooperation continues to this day. Worldwide, the demand for TIBHAR blades increased tremendously from 1985 to 1990.
